In other more extreme cases a plumbers tool called a hand operated snake or motor operated snake needs to be used. This tool will travel down through the plumbing lines under your house and break up any obstruction that is causing stoppage. Water Plumbing Re-piping
Replacing hot and cold water pipes that service your kitchen and bathroom is common in older homes that were plumbed with galvanized piping. Over the years, mineral deposits will build up inside the galvanized pipe and restrict the flow of water to the different fixtures such as your kitchen and bathroom faucets and most importantly your shower head, because no one wants to take a shower with low water volume or pressure. Typically, copper water pipes are used to replace the original galvanized piping. The water plumbing re-piping process typically takes 2 to 3 days to complete. For your convenience, as much new piping will be installed prior to disconnecting any waterlines to your faucets, toilets or bath and shower fixtures. Some interior drywall will have to be removed and replaced for this process. Give us a call (925) 475-824 for a more in-depth explanation on how this process works.
Sewer Line Repair
Sewer lines need to be repaired for a variety of reasons, one of which is common in older residential housing tracts where inferior sewer line materials were installed. Some of these materials allow common roots from trees in the area to work their way into the sewer line and block the sewage from getting into the main sewer drains or septic systems. In this case, it is necessary to dig up the existing sewer line and replace it with new updated sewer lines materials that will not allow tree root penetration. There is a process where you can install the new sewer line product without digging up your landscaping. it is called “trenchless” sewer line replacement. This process has been proven to be very helpful and cost-effective where high-end landscaping needs to be protected and or concrete or asphalt driveways need to stay in place. Call us today (925) 475-824 and we'll analyze your situation to see which system works best for you.
Water Heater Repair & Replacement
Nobody is happy when the hot water turns cold in your house or business. Typically there are 3 types of hot water heaters used in residential and commercial situations. One is electric power hot water heaters the second is gas powered hot water heaters and the third is on demand hot water heaters which is typically powered by natural gas or propane. When an electric water heater stops producing hot water, it can be as simple as the electric heating element has burned out and the fix for it is fairly simple. The hot water tank has to be drained and the old element taken out then the new element is installed. This requires turning off the electrical breaker to the hot water tank for your protection. Note: Never turn electricity on to the repaired hot water tank without having first filled the tank completely with water. It only takes about 15 seconds of the electricity being on until the new heating element will burn up and short out. A typical reason for having to replace your hot water heater is that the water tank will start to leak. In most cases the leak will start out very small, sometimes unnoticeable but will increase in time. This is due to mineral deposit build up that starts corroding different parts of the hot water tank. With this type of damage, repairs are not recommended and replacement is recommended. In some cases this is a good time to upgrade to the more cost efficient hot water tanks that are available. Our Dublin CA hot water heater specialists are fully equipped to take care of any hot water issue that you may have.
Garbage Disposal Repair & Replacement
Repairing a garbage disposal typically involves dislodging something hard that the disposal can't chew up and it has caused the motor not to be able to turn. Sometimes the fix for this is easy but can be dangerous at the same time. Reaching down into the inside of the garbage disposal with your hand to free up any lodged piece of material sometimes works. **CAUTION** **CAUTION** this should never be attempted until the electrical breaker to the garbage disposal is set on off. When it is noted that nothing is jamming up the garbage disposal and it still does not operate properly, this is when a new garbage disposal is most likely necessary to be installed. The good news is that garbage disposal installations are typically quick and garbage disposal's are very reasonably priced. Give us a call and we'll take care of your garbage disposal problem in a hurry.
